The awareness of swine flu (influenza A – H1N1) must be increased. Series reports that the number of people infected A-H1N1 virus grow significantly. From now on, people should be excited for the practice of Clean and Healthy behavior. Thus revealed in the Health Forum titled “Healthy Life, Happy Community” conducted by ASEC (ASEAN Secretariat) of the Women’s Wing in Jakarta. As quoted from the speech of Dr.dr.Siti Fadilah Supari that prevent is clearly better and far more efficient compared than to treat patients who have been suffering from A-H1N1 positive.
Therefore, the community must be participating in contributing to limit the impact of the spread of pandemic, especially women. They are expected to guide and direct, because women play an important role in family and community. While the mass media as message introductory to the public are expected to deliver the news that are proportionally, critical, and provide positive feedback. Role of the media at this point is share information of communicative-educational.
The President of ASEAN, Secretariat of Women’s Wing, Vennila Pushpanathan states, “We need to have awareness on health and education, especially in good health. The next generation should be prepared to work voluntarily for the development social community program.”
